Reading with only a battery powered light during a powercut, Gul Alay goes through boxes of letters from his grandfather and great-grandfather, some written during periods of fighting between the British Army and the Mujahadeen. The family's ancestors fought on both sides but now during a new wave of fighting in NWFP against the Taliban, the family are firmly against them.
